What Does My Zodiac Sign Mean For Me?

According to astrologers, zodiac signs influence the character of people born under them. Your Sun sign, the zodiac sign of the Sun when you were born, colors your personality very strongly. But it's not just personality traits; the Sun sign embodies specific talents, needs and values. When you know what your Sun sign is all about, it is a lot easier to live a fulfilling existence.
Your zodiac sign reveals:
Your ego or basic self.
Most astrologers agree that the Sun is what defines the most basic character of an individual. Your Sun sign is your ego. Even if other characteristics in your astrological chart may sometimes disguise the Sun, it's always your heart, your essential being.
Your heart's desire.
Your zodiac sign tells what you want to be, how you want to be known, and what you want to get out of life. Sun in fire signs (Leo, Sagittarius and Aries) live for action, progress and greatness. Sun in earth signs (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn) are driven to act by the desire for security and order within the physical world. Sun in water signs (Scorpio, Pisces and Cancer) struggle for emotional fulfillment and happiness. Sun in air signs (Aquarius, Gemini and Libra) aim for the actualization of ideas and forming connections with others. When other people acknowledge these traits in you, it gives you a sense of pride.
Your health.
The zodiac sign is also about your health. That makes sense since the Sun is the life-giver of the solar system. A strong Sun sign (that is, with support from other planets and other factors) suggests you are born with a lot of energy and strength--good health. Generally, the Sun in fire signs is strong. In water signs, your health changes with your emotional state. In earth signs, you are strong but may suffer from over-eating or worry. In air signs, you have a lot of mental energy.
Your creativity.
What are your talents? What is it you're naturally good at? Your Sun sign gives you many gifts. Look to your zodiac sign for some natural talents. For example, Sun in air signs excel in communications; Sun in water signs are imaginative; Sun in earth signs are resourceful in practical matters; Sun in fire signs are dramatic and idealistic.
Your parents
The zodiac sign describes one of your parents or how you think of them. Because parents are our models, the Sun sign as you saw in your father or mother later influences the type of adult you want to be. For example, Sun in Leo if positive is a generous and proud parent; Sun in Gemini is an intellectual parent; Sun in Taurus is practical and good with money, etc.
Besides your personality and talents, your Sun sign shows your horoscope compatibility with your loved ones and friends, such as your partner. Your Sun sign gives clues about your attitudes and expectations from a relationship with another person. However the Sun sign alone is not enough to tell the whole story. Your full birth chart gives much more information. Astrological horoscope matching is quite insightful for students and professional astrologers in understanding human relationships.

Pokemon Training - Not Unlike Horses

Welcome to the Pokemon Cafe! The Pokemon cafe is for those who, like me, know next to nothing about the world of Pokemon that our kids are so excited about. I myself am a mother of an 11-year-old boy who spends a great deal of his day thinking of Pokemon. These days he's especially crazy about Pokemon Black and White, including the Pokemon card game and also the new Pokemon Black and White Plushies (Pokemon stuffed toys that look like stuffed animals). Since Pokemon Black and White came out, I admit to caving in and buying him a large plush toy and two small plushies. No more! Today's topic is training- how it is done and the attitudes of the trainers. Practically speaking, there are the attitudes of trainers in the animated Pokemon storyline and the attitudes of gamers. It is the former I want to focus on; it's more interesting! Like any other animal/human relationship, the core of the Pokemon/trainer relationship is based on trust. Beyond that, there may be a great deal...

Behind the Scenes The Changing Role of Women in the Film and Music Industries

Behind the Scenes: The Changing Role of Women in the Film and Music Industries The film and music industries have historically been male-dominated fields, with women often relegated to roles in front of the camera or the microphone. However, significant shifts have occurred over recent years, with more women stepping into and excelling in key creative and leadership roles. This article delves into the evolving presence and influence of women in these industries, highlighting the challenges they face and the progress they've made. Breaking Barriers in Film In the film industry, women have traditionally been underrepresented, especially in roles such as directing, producing, cinematography, and other key behind-the-scenes positions. Recent years, however, have seen a promising shift. Initiatives and advocacy groups have emerged, focusing on gender equality and the inclusion of more women in these pivotal roles. Organizations like Women In Film and the Alliance of Women Directors ha...

Seance - The Daisey Mae Story

Monday 26th September - Preview of New Show. It is common for Theatre shows do run preview events and performances before the formal run of dates begins... It is common for comedians to try out material on a selected audience before going on tour... I would assume therefore that Magicians would do the same... For me this was the first time of running a dress rehearsal preview of a full two hour show in front of an invited audience and I'm not sure why it's taken me this long to do it! OK, the downside is having to cover the costs of hiring the venue BUT the pluses far outweigh these costs. It's almost impossible to rehearse a mentalism show without an audience, and despite the scripting, blocking, routining that needs to be done its not until there are real people watching what you do are you likely to get any sense of the 'effectiveness' of your show. Seance: The Daisey Mae story is a two hour show ending in a seance. I spent ages on a back story linking the...
