Tarot And Reading - The Art Of Reading The Tarot Cards

There is a general increase in the number of people who are interested in learning the tarot. While earlier this craft was mostly viewed as a divination (fortune telling) almost exclusively read by gypsies and fake psychics, these days people have recognized the real power of tarot.
Now practically anyone can learn to read the tarot, and reading the cards takes nothing more special than simple skill, which can be easily learned.
There are a couple of things you need to know and do when you want to learn to read tarot, and here are the main ones:
  • Prepare to read the cards
  • Ask the question you want answer to
  • Select your deck
  • Shuffle the cards
  • Choose the cards to read
  • Start reading the cards
  • Put together the story
In short, these are the main steps that you need from start to finish. Of course, the actual reading takes a bit more than that, however everything can be learned. While there are a few genuine psychics who use tarot simply as a tool to gain that arcane insight, for the most of us tarot is something that can be learned if we just keep at it.
This means that once you've decided to start, you should:
  • Learn the meanings of each card by reading them from books
  • Learn the connections of the cards (this comes a bit later, with experience)
  • Learn to read the cards by following your own intuition.
The last option is not a necessary step, however. There are many people who are very good tarot readers and they rely solely on the meanings given by the various tarot books.
But if you really want to gain excellence in this beautiful art and craft, then you should use what nature gave you in the first place: your own feeling, intuition and imagination to put the best and most accurate story together for the querrent (the person for whom you're reading).
Some people learn to read the tarot quite fast, but for the most of us, it's a long journey. However don't get upset by this. Afterall tarot is a life-long journey of self-discovery, one which you should follow with awe and passion.
Even if you think you know everything to know about the craft, there is always something new that comes in the next reading, something that will either give you that AHA moment, or will leave you baffled by the new meanings that you've just discovered.
If you're like me, you need a few good books to get you started with reading tarot cards. Head over to Tarot book reviews and check out some of the wonderful book reviews, such as the one for Learning the tarot by Joan Bunning. It's one of the best beginner books to get you started reading the cards the right way.

Seance - The Daisey Mae Story

Monday 26th September - Preview of New Show. It is common for Theatre shows do run preview events and performances before the formal run of dates begins... It is common for comedians to try out material on a selected audience before going on tour... I would assume therefore that Magicians would do the same... For me this was the first time of running a dress rehearsal preview of a full two hour show in front of an invited audience and I'm not sure why it's taken me this long to do it! OK, the downside is having to cover the costs of hiring the venue BUT the pluses far outweigh these costs. It's almost impossible to rehearse a mentalism show without an audience, and despite the scripting, blocking, routining that needs to be done its not until there are real people watching what you do are you likely to get any sense of the 'effectiveness' of your show. Seance: The Daisey Mae story is a two hour show ending in a seance. I spent ages on a back story linking the...

Pokemon Training - Not Unlike Horses

Welcome to the Pokemon Cafe! The Pokemon cafe is for those who, like me, know next to nothing about the world of Pokemon that our kids are so excited about. I myself am a mother of an 11-year-old boy who spends a great deal of his day thinking of Pokemon. These days he's especially crazy about Pokemon Black and White, including the Pokemon card game and also the new Pokemon Black and White Plushies (Pokemon stuffed toys that look like stuffed animals). Since Pokemon Black and White came out, I admit to caving in and buying him a large plush toy and two small plushies. No more! Today's topic is training- how it is done and the attitudes of the trainers. Practically speaking, there are the attitudes of trainers in the animated Pokemon storyline and the attitudes of gamers. It is the former I want to focus on; it's more interesting! Like any other animal/human relationship, the core of the Pokemon/trainer relationship is based on trust. Beyond that, there may be a great deal...

He Who Believed Man Can Fly

Believe the unbelievable! And create the impossible! This is the nature of Growth Stars. They do it because it's fun. It is like discovering a new toy. The Wright Brothers were credited with building and inventing the world's first successful airplane. The Wright Brothers were not the ones who first built and flew experimental aircraft but they were the ones who first to invented aircraft controls that made fixed-wing powered flight possible, allowing planes to fly a longer distance and time. Wilbur Wright was born on 16 April 1867 at 1 a. m. His BaZi chart is shown below. Wilbur Wright's BaZi Chart contains Ding Mao in the Year Pillar, Jia Chen in the Month Pillar, Bing Yin in the Day Pillar and Yi Wei in the Hour Pillar ([Hour] Yi Wei | [Day] Bing Yin | [Month] Jia Chen | [Year]). While the younger brother, Orville Wright, was born on 19 August 1871 at 5 p. m. Below is his BaZi chart. Orville Wright's BaZi Chart contains Xin Wei in the Year Pillar, Bing S...
