The Month of Libra, 2011

The Zodiac Month Ahead: Seeking to Understand
What we all can expect from the forecast of our planetary skies, 23 September - 23 October.
A MEDITATION FOR LIBRA ~John Jocelyn
It is not enough to say Librans have a love of justice, but rather that justice is their love, and for this love of well being, this harmony of justice, will they work; and they are impelled and accelerated by the very experience of life to attain that poise which is peace.
Sun enters Libra 23 August
Libra expresses its' Cardinal energies as it leads us into fall, intellectually stimulating us through its' guiding element of air. This sign of relationships now pairs us up with nature-oriented activities that are meant to engage our value of genuine beauty. Time spent in the month ahead within pleasurable activities, romantic affairs, and being fair grant us the outlets to find agreement through understanding. A purveyor of justice, The Scales ultimate wish is for us to find friendly ways to align in harmony as we are asked to allow peace to be our guiding light.
Mercury enters Libra 25 September, Scorpio 13 October
Mercury has fully returned to his quick pace as he transits through two signs within one Zodiac Month. Just in time to heat up the political debate season, 25 September through 13 October will present well-balanced, comparative, and rational mentalities to emerge. Perceptions are well-ordered, easily distracted, yet blessed with flashes of intuition; a true balance of logic and feeling. Once in Scorpio through 02 November, coupled here with Venus, resourceful and penetrating ways will be utilized to expose the secrets The Scorpion loves to be resilient in. Let's see what skeletons will dare to come out of those politicians' closets.
New Moon in Libra 27 September
The Libra piece of any Zodiac Pie becomes activated with a fresh energy, and presents us with true forward motion to plant some new seeds here within. However Saturn may be requesting your personal responsibility to this area of the life, it will be time to further understand the patient process that is still at work. Practicality diving into emotional renewal will be rewarded, and when we adhere to learning from our experiences, The Karmic Adjustor has no problems granting stability when one's self-reliance is being utilized here at present.
Venus enters Scorpio 09 October
As Ms. Harmony takes flight within The Eagle, she promises to bring forth energies relating to how value is seen within our possessions, secrets, and passionate natures. As with any Scorpio transit, revaluation of our experiences allows what is meant to be regenerated ideally transform. Desires equally have the momentum behind them to become purified, so look to see where The Eagle soars to bring in some highly sensitive affections to aid in letting go, so a rebirth has the proper room to grow.
As you seek to understand in the month ahead, your being understood soon follows.

Seance - The Daisey Mae Story

Monday 26th September - Preview of New Show. It is common for Theatre shows do run preview events and performances before the formal run of dates begins... It is common for comedians to try out material on a selected audience before going on tour... I would assume therefore that Magicians would do the same... For me this was the first time of running a dress rehearsal preview of a full two hour show in front of an invited audience and I'm not sure why it's taken me this long to do it! OK, the downside is having to cover the costs of hiring the venue BUT the pluses far outweigh these costs. It's almost impossible to rehearse a mentalism show without an audience, and despite the scripting, blocking, routining that needs to be done its not until there are real people watching what you do are you likely to get any sense of the 'effectiveness' of your show. Seance: The Daisey Mae story is a two hour show ending in a seance. I spent ages on a back story linking the...

Pokemon Training - Not Unlike Horses

Welcome to the Pokemon Cafe! The Pokemon cafe is for those who, like me, know next to nothing about the world of Pokemon that our kids are so excited about. I myself am a mother of an 11-year-old boy who spends a great deal of his day thinking of Pokemon. These days he's especially crazy about Pokemon Black and White, including the Pokemon card game and also the new Pokemon Black and White Plushies (Pokemon stuffed toys that look like stuffed animals). Since Pokemon Black and White came out, I admit to caving in and buying him a large plush toy and two small plushies. No more! Today's topic is training- how it is done and the attitudes of the trainers. Practically speaking, there are the attitudes of trainers in the animated Pokemon storyline and the attitudes of gamers. It is the former I want to focus on; it's more interesting! Like any other animal/human relationship, the core of the Pokemon/trainer relationship is based on trust. Beyond that, there may be a great deal...
